ENG: As she celebrated her 50th birthday recently, let’s just stop and reflect on Sarah Jessica Parker’s always fabulous looks both as the actor and as Carrie Bradshaw. Now, she might not be the most talented of them all in Hollywood, but certainly is (was) the perfect Carrie in the city.
I loved every episode (have my own pink collection), even though the last movie was a bit awkward. But generally, Sex and The City showed us that it is more than OK to be free, independent, sexual, successful and even single. That it is OK to be a woman and want it all while staying a woman. That it is OK to express ourselves, to communicate our thoughts and to shift away from social conventions for our own good.
SJP has become a style icon, she made several unlikely trends chic, and established Manolo Blahnik shoes as every girls’ dream. Oh, and let’s not forget about the Carrie bun…
HU: Sarah Jessica Parker nemreg unnepelte 50. szuletesnapjat. Ketsegtelenul nem o Hollywood legtehetsegesebb szinesznoje, de az is biztos, hogy senki mas nem tudta volna ugy eljatszani Carrie-t, mint o. Imadtam a Szex es New York minden epizodjat (termeszetesen megvan a nagy rozsaszin DVD kollekcio), bar a mozifilm masodik resze kisse cikire sikerult.

I love SJP! She’s a true style icon.
She is, indeed!
I loved SJP ever since she starred in the 80s teen flick- GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN! As for SATC, that TV series will always have a special place in my heart- especially season 1, 2 and 3. SJP’s acting, Carrie’s style, the great writing…I can go on. SJB is beyond talented because it must not have been easy to carry the series on her back like she did- of course with the help of the amazing cast. She is truly Fab @ 50, and I love how she translates so well in real life, I dont know her but she always come across so real in her TV interviews. Love this post!
I’ve seen that film, too, not a long ago, and I did not know that she was playing in it. It was hilarious, and I loved it.
Thanks for the comment 🙂
Don’t you think she looks rather like an underfed horse?
Interesting point… Well, she might not be the prettiest, but her personality, and what she represents really makes me focus on her other features. Thanks for your comment, made me laugh 🙂
