HONEYMOON AT THE GRAND HOTEL PRAHA

ENG: After the wedding comes the honeymoon, and we decided to go skying while having some wellness experience, too. On top of that, we combined it with stopping by at home as well, so the best option was to go to the wonderful High Tatras in Slovakia. I have not been there for ages, so it was a great return, full of anxious waiting and expectations. After we finalised the place to go, we searched for the right accomodation. Having saved some money from our wedding gifts we could afford to go a bit wild, and the Grand Hotel Praha seemed to be the perfect choice. And, it was, indeed! It´s a gorgeous  castle – like building with more than a hundred years old of history surrounded by the National Tatra Park, and a great sky resort just walking distance away.

Although, it has no Kempinski styled interior, it is still very classy and elegant, with a historical hint. It is less trendy, but more descent, absolutly clean with a very high standard of customer service. The wellness is more than amazing, with a stunning pool and a variety of saunas, and the outside jacuzzi with its amazing view is just the real wow factor. We tried out many of the massages, and treatments, which were oh so relaxing! By the way, the food is also an extra dash of excellence, even though the portions were tiny. But again, by the time you eat yourself through the ala cart menu, you are pretty much full. I highly recommend the Grand Hotel Praha to everyone looking for the perfect sky holiday with wellness options.

HU: Az eskuvo utan eljott a naszut ideje, es mi ugy dontottunk, hogy sielni megyunk. Az is fontos volt, hogy kozben otthon is meg tudjunk allni egy kicsit, ezert is valasztottuk a Magas Tatrat uticelul. Wellnes hotelt kerestunk szallasnak, es miutan lefixaltuk, hogy Tatranksa Lomnicara megyunk maris leszukult a hotel repertoar. A Grand Hotel Praha mar elsore is nagyon kecsegteto volt, majd egy kis kutakodas utan egyertelmuen ezt valasztottuk es egyaltalan nem bantuk meg. Ez egy csodaszep kastelyszeru epitmeny tobb, mint egy evszazados tortenelemmel, szinte a Lomnici csucs toveben. A helyi hotelek kozul ez talalhato a legmagasabban, igy a legcsendesebb is, megis csupan setanyi tavolsagra van a sipalyatol.

Maga az enterior nem egy Kempinski rivalis, inkabb klasszikusan elegans, mint trendi. Abszolut tiszta, nagyon professzionalis kiszolgalassal. A wellness resze is gyonyoru, a medence es a kinti jacuzzi is atlagon feluli, illetve jopar kulonfele szaunaban izzadhat az ember a sieles utan. Mi tobb masszazst is kiprobaltunk, es mind szuper jo volt. A reggeli mindig svedasztal volt minden elkepzelheto finomsaggal, a vacsorat pedig egy ala cart menubol valasztottuk, szinten incsi-fincsi etelek kozul. Az adagok nem voltak nagyok, de mire vegigette az ember az osszes fogast jol is lakott.
