ENG: A month ago we went to Lille to visit Tom’s family. Traveling by Eurostar it only took us 2 hours to reach our destination door to door, which on some days you can easily waste on public transport only within London (going just one direction). We had a wonderful time and weather, so I took zillion images while managing babysitting as well most of the time. Apart from Lille we also visited Bruges, a Venice like town in the neighboring Belgium – oh, how I was amazed by its architecture (and food, of course, which you can check out HERE), which influenced Lille’s as well using brown and red bricks in most of the buildings. Some of my images were taken while on a boat trip across Bruges, I enjoyed it so much, it was breathtaking. Here are some of my fav images from the trip, hope they communicate the atmosphere. Have you ever been to any of these cities?
HU: Egy honappal ezelott a dragammal rokoni latogatasra mentunk Franciaorszag eszaki reszere, Lillbe. Eurostarral utaztunk, ami csupan 2 oraba telt – egyes napokon ennyit a londoni metron is elpazarol az ember CSAK munkaba menet. Gyonyoru idot fogtunk ki, nagyon jol ereztuk magunkat, csodaszep dolgokat lattunk, en pedig millio kepet keszitettem a folyamatos “bebiszitteles” mellett is. Lillen kivul a szomszedos Bruges-ba is ellatogattunk, ami egy Velencehez hasonlo varos, fantasztikus epiteszeti elemekkel. A varosnezest egy csonaktura kereten belul abszolvaltuk, mely vegigvitt bennunket a csatornakon, igy olyan reszleteket is lathattunk a varosbol, melyek egyebkent nehezen hozzaferhetoek. Mutatok par kepet az utrol, remelem, hogy atadjak az atmoszferat. Kivancsian varom a velemenyedet! (Az ut gasztro elmenyeirol ITT olvashatsz es lathatsz kepeket)
I’ve been to both cities. I always felt like Bruges is beautiful, but a town of facades — I always seem to favor “working” cities. It looks like you had a lovely time. XO
It was amazing, I immediately fell in love with its colours.
These beautiful shots really make me miss the old continent…. so glad I’ll be there in less than two weeks! 🙂
Oh, so you are spending Christmas at home? Have a lovely time 🙂
I really like all those pictures! ^^ It makes me want to travel around in Europe. Nice shots of Bruges!
Europe is wonderful, full of amazing architecture. If havent already you should visit Prague.
