ENG: Recently we’ve been to a long weekend to Lille, a charming town in the North of France. Apart from the sightseeing and also visiting Bruges in the neighboring Belgium, I really wanted to try as much of the local food as possible. Even though I ended up with an upset stomach I managed to get through my gastro bucket list prepared just for the trip. I am not used to eating lots of pastry or fried food, which took up a huge part of the menu – just think of the very basic of must haves, such as the croissant and macaroons. On top of that the Flemish cuisine offered its fries and chocolates, so I couldn’t resist while being there, I ate everything. Here’s a selection of the yummys we chewed ourselves through: raclette, fries with fries and fries, a pizza suspicious non-pizza something, fries again with a Flemish chicken sausage, chocolate (OMG), egg in cheese sauce (2xOMG), fish fillet in an orange-crispy souse with baked courgette and rice, beef stew (the real one) with what else than fries (seriously), creme brulee, ice cream, waffles, crepe, macaroons, baguettes, and some other things I don’t have evidence of. If you think it is too much to read, imagine how much it was to eat…
HU: Nemreg a franciaorszagi Lille-ben jartunk, ahonnan Bruges-ba is ellatogattunk.
