I cannot believe another month has just passed, and it is summer already. It feels like that even in London, mostly it has been warm and sunny, nourishing my soul. There are so many thoughts to share, it has been a rather challenging month with discoveries shaping my path and personality. But let’s leave the serious tone – here are 5 things I really liked in June:
1. Chandelier by Sia
The first time I heard this song it was alive on Ellen’s show, and I was immediately amazed by it. Such a strong, emotional piece – and the performance by Sia was giving me goosebumps, not to mention the way the little girl dances!
2. The Ramen girl starring Brittany Murphy
The film itself is nothing special, although I found Brittany a charming actress, however the seen where the master makes Ramen seized me so much that ever since I’ve been desperate to try the soup…
3. Ramen soup
… and voila, on Saturday I finally had the chance to taste it! We went to a Japanese restaurant just off Shaftesbury Avenue, called Shoryu, where the magic happened. It is a well designed place with a very friendly staff and zillion Ramen options – we opted for the first one on the menu, just to be on the safe side. The soup was delicious, and even though for Japanese people accustomed to real Japanese food it might seem as a crime, we were more than satisfied with our Ramen (already decided to make it a habit and gradually try everything from their menu) www.shoryuramen.com
4. Bite me apron by SewLomax
I love my new apron by SewLomax, it fits me well and makes my kitchen “duty” bright and fab. Even though I think it is not available any more, you can still grab other beauties on sale at the NOT ON THE HIGH STREET website. Also visit www.sewlomax.com for cute pouches, make up bags and other stylish gifts.
5. Ted Baker suit
Love at first sight – I mean with the suit. This Ted Baker ORBITA Pashion wool dinner suit is just style heaven on earth. Perfect inspiration for our wedding!
