The ancient Greeks scorned it as ugly and barbaric, but most people of the Western world now pick it as their favourite colour (including me). “Blue has so many shades and subtleties, it is infinitely adaptable. It is the colour of infinity, the clear sky blue, that is magically created through millions of miles of empty space. It is a colour of distance, faraway moody blue hills, lakes which are miles deep, the sea and the misty mornings. It can adorn the roof of a Ghotic church, a Renaissance palace, a Victorian dairy or a Corbusier cube. At the ultramarine end of the range, it is warm and lively; at the Prussian and indigo end, it is cool and breezy.” (Source: The colour design file by Leslie Geddes-Brown)

“The sky grew darker, painted blue on blue, one stroke at a time, into deeper and deeper shades of night.”Haruki Murakami; Dance Dance Dance
“One of his tears fell in my mouth, where it became a blue sapphire, source of strength, source of strength and eternal hope.”Anita Diamant; The Red Tent
“It is early, early morning. It’s that time when it’s still dark but you know the day is coming. Blue is bleeding through black. Stars are dying.” Markus Zusag; Underdog

No problem! I just read that you’re an interior designer. I was in that field until 2 years ago when I became a licensed cosmetologist. I love hair/fashion/beauty so I’m glad I did it finally….and the designer education/background is always with me. Is your clientele primarily residential?
That is some change! What made you do that? I’m actually trying to figure out my path – I love interior design, I assist part-time a senior designer, but her business is not going well, so I need to look for another job. And I’m not sure anymore what I want to do.
I wanted to be hair/fashion since my early teens but my dad thought it was a bad idea!!! I did corporate facilities design for a long time and realized- while planning a relocation- that it was a good time to go for it and go to beauty school!!! And recently I discovered I like to make things so that’s my “other job” now! LOL!
Lovely! Blue is my favorite colour, I have blue pillows on my bed… Xx
I love reading your blog!
Thank you darling, xx
