The British Plus Size Fashion Weekend returns for the second time on 14-15 February, 2014 where plus size women will be celebrated in the heart of London. After the success of last year, organizers added many new elements to the event where body diversity is worshiped and where fashion meets customers – not to forget the after party where BBC 1 xtra’s DJ will guarantee great entertainment for all. Organizers Remi Ray and Rianne Ward promise this year will be bigger, bolder, incorporating 4 different types of fashion shows.
It will be a fun experience a day out with your girlfriends to laugh, drink, eat, get amazing discounts off shopping and watch some beautiful models strut the catwalk in clothing catered for just the curvy woman. As Rianne says they continue to work to show the media that curvy women are beautiful and this event empowers us to educate the media and enhances our view within the media and how we see ourselves.
The venue this year is Vinopolis – iconic and very spacious, where you can spot some major names this year modeling for BPSFW. The show offers a 10% discount to all that will be shopping at the marketplace.
Attending this event will not only help the plus-size women without a voice but will also leave you with chills from the beautiful women strutting their curves. If you haven’t bought your ticket yet, you shouldn’t wait. One thing is the fashion show, where pro-models like Hayley Hasselhoff and Whitney Thompson is going to enter the catwalk, but this weekend will be so action-packed that you will find the weekend as a treat for you, just because you feel for it and probably also you deserve it!

BPSFW is definitely more than just a show – it is building a community where body acceptance goes without saying and we celebrate our curves by wearing whatever our fashion taste demand. This event was made for us to prove that fashion does not depend on your size and where we can mingle and socialize with like-minded fellow curvy ladies and have a really good time. Furthermore, you can bid on outfits donated by the designers and retailers showing at BPSFW. All the income will be donated to Macmillian Cancer Support foundation.

lovely event! I have to say that these women don’t look plus size to me, more like regular size but I know that in the model (and fashion) world they’re perceived as plus size women. That’s another issue, though. All in all, it’s great that curves are appreciated!
