this story is about the revival of the haute couture and revitalizing femininity. Fashion once again became extravagante and smart. Cristobal Balenciaga broadened the shoulders, removed the waist and created the Tunic Dress. Hubert de Givenchy´s biggest heroine was the Bettina Blouse, while Pierre Balmain told the story of the full skirt that was more than ready-to-wear… The invention of the Lycra revolutionized our underwear and we proudly put on the Cantilever bra, that decades later Madonna used as her distinctness on stage – copying Marylin Monroe, who was the biggest star of this decade.
