ENG: This is where I went to uni. I remember when I got there for the first time, had no idea how to cross the road, as there is a huge round-about, and a mysterious subway, where I still can get lost after 6 years. I have so many memories about this area, about the time I used to go to LCC. I loved the Access Course (Interior Design), it was so much fun and discoveries. The Foundation was not that good, but the BA again, was inspiring and different. The uni system and the attitude of the tutors is much better than I ever experienced at home, I felt that they really cared about me and about my personal and professional development. I found some very good friends there and enjoyed most of my time there.
The market – one of the weirdest – is just wow. Smells of pee at certain points, always loud of African music. You can find everything you really don´t need to have. The mall is sad and poor, however, I haven´t been there for a while, so there might have been some changes.
It´s an extremly colourful and culturally mixed area – even if you just look at my uni, it´s full of people from all aroung the globe. A cool place to be creative! (All images belong to Anami Blog)
HU: Ide jártam egyetemre 4 éven át. Emlékszem, mikor elöször itt jártam, azt sem tudtam hogyan menjek át az úton, mert egy hatalmas körforgalom van a tér kellös közepén, alatta pedig egy alattomosan megtévesztö alagútrendszer, ahol ennyi év után is képes vagyok eltévedni. A metróból kiérve az elsö élmény a piac, ami helyenként -hát, hogy is mondjam szépen-, húgyszagú, mindig hangosan ordít valami afrikai zene, és szinte mindent árulnak, amire igazából senkinek sincs szüksége. Hihetetlen alakok mászkálnak mindenhol, hajléktalanok kéregetnek. Aztán, ha sikerül átvergödni magad a másik oldalra, hatalmas változás – mindenki nagyon különc és kreatív. De tényleg.
Nagyon szerettem ide járni, óriási különbség van az itthoni és az angol felsöoktatási rendszer között, nekem legalábbis sokkal pozitívabb élményeim vannak a londoni diákéveimröl. Viszont, az is igaz, hogy sokkal nagyobb alaptudással rendelkezik az, aki kelet – európai országokból származik, mint nyugati társai. Pro, kontra.
Egy kis érdekesség, hogy a Harry Potter filmek Hermionéja is pont akkor járt ide, amikor én. (Minden kép az Anami Blog tulajdona)
SK: Sem som chodila na univerzitu 4 roky. Keď som tu prvý krát vystúpila z metra, ani som nevedela ako prejsť cestou, je tu obrovská okružná križovatka a pod tým popletený podchod, kde sa zablúdim aj doteraz. Trh je asi najintenzívnejším zážitkom tejto zóny – smrdí, hučí a ponúka všetko, čo človek fakt nepotrebuje. Na druhej strane cesty je zase iný zážitok – svet kreativity a umenia. Žiaci sú z celého sveta, učitelia sa fakt snažia dostať sa z teba to najlepšie a všade je inšpirácia. Síce, celý Londýn je jedna veľká inšpirácia. (Všetky fotky patria Anami Blogu)
