It is hard to believe that Lucy only started her photography business 8 months ago. Her pictures all tell you a story, capturing moments you will remember for a long time. Lucy gained a degree in architectural interior design and now free lances as an Interior designer. She loves her work and as an extra blessing this gives her time to focus on building and branding her photography business, which is something she has always dreamed about and has now reached a point in her life that she is ready to go for it… From personal memories through weddings and lifetimes she is interested in everything, and now she allows me to ‘capture’ HER image via this interview. www.lucynoble.com

- HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF WITH 5 WORDS?
Describe myself in 5 words?
Well I’m not very good at talking about myself but a good friend once described me like this:
“Natural – You spread the feeling of it, you make me calm. I like that you can laugh a lot, and the sound of your laugh. You care, and honestly care.”
So I’m happy with that!!! But if I really had to say a few things it would be:
A Dreamer no doubt about that.
I am a Watcher and a Listener– I LOVE to watch people, not in a weird psycho way but everyone is so different and I believe you learn a lot from others. I’m interested in people- their hopes and dreams, their worries their LIFE.
I would like to think I’m Playful… Ha-ha
I’m Me! … I have spent A LOT of time trying to be someone I’m not, looking at others in awe. Focusing on what I didn’t have and to be honest I wasn’t very successful at doing that- I failed. Now I’m trying to be, plain and simply, me. It has taken me many years to realise but if I want to be successful, I need to be me! There is no one else in the world that can do a better job being me, than me!
This is all sounding very cheesy and embarrassing, please bare with me here! Now that the uncomfortable question is out of the way…
- WHAT DO YOU DO?
I take REAL life photographs, I try to capture that moment just after the client thinks I have taken the shot, when they exhale and relax. Sneaky ey!
I am looking for an emotion: a look, a laugh, a touch. I try to create a story within a photograph.
I am also very excited to say, that I am taking bookings for weddings this year and hope this will grow in to a prominent part of my business.
Relax. Have fun. Be real.
- IF YOU WERE A COLOUR…
Hmmm, rich blue, emerald green. No, no… Orange! Perhaps red? I can’t possibly be one colour, everyday is different, and maybe it’s the designer in me- I LOVE COLOUR!
- IN 5 YEARS YOU WILL…
As this is still my first year in business, in 5 years I would hope to think I am still expanding my skills but would have established a successful photography business, making people smile, laugh and generally look brilliant! Giving them special memories to keep hold off.
I want to feel I have achieved and feel proud of my business and the service it provides’ – I want little old me to shout… I DID IT! (I use that term loosely as I’m not that little!)
- WHAT/WHO INSPIRES YOU?
I would say people mostly, people who have a story to tell and are passionate about it.
Also music, I love all kinds of music, apart from heavy metal – that’s not really my bag!
- WHO WOULD YOU SPEND A DAY WITH?
Can I really only choose one person? I would LOVE to spend the day with Jasmine Star, who is a wedding photographer and has been a real motivator for me. I would also love to spend another day with my Granny who died 8 years ago. Firstly give her a HUGE cuddle, then I would have a big catch up with her telling her how far I’ve come since the last time I saw her. I would like to see that big smile of hers again.
WOW… lets back up a bit, getting a bit emotional there!
- WHAT’S YOUR PET?
Beefy the lizard! She is my funny little pet who eye balls me day in, day out when I’m sitting at my desk. It would be impossible to win a blinking game with her! She is lazy, very lazy but somehow she makes me and Steve crack up on a daily basis just being her, how she sits, stares, sleeps, eats. Hilarious! I also have Tilly the cat, she lives at my mum’s but we all know she loves me the most!
Thank you Lucy!

Looking Back on 2012.
Well what a year! I was interviewed back in February by Anami Blog and looking back it feels like I was just beginning this incredible journey I am on. ( It is also is a bit like looking back at an old photograph of yourself and cringing slightly! Ha-ha.) Although I still believe the content is true to this day.
I speak of introducing weddings into my business and I am so happy to say that I have been able to photograph some AMAZING weddings, in fact it is impossible to say which is my favourite as they have each been so personal to the bride and groom and that is what it’s all about.
From photographing in a beautiful cinema, sunny outdoor marquees, stunning barns and quirky little tea rooms, every single one has been a pleasure and I would like to say thank you to all of my lovely bride and grooms for being Awesome! It’s fantastic that I attract such lovely clients to work with.
My business is still growing and I still have lots of plans, I am very excited for 2013 and looking forward to meeting new clients and of course the bride and grooms that have already booked me for 2013- YES, your weddings are going to be epic! First one being in February (which is a very special one for me- but more on that later)
So as we come to the end of the year, I would like to wish EVERYONE a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
If you would like to look back at my interview with Anami blog- here you go! =)
